Expert Remodeling Services for Aging-in-Place in Southern Utah
Custom Solutions for Safe, Accessible and Independent Living at Home
About Us
Our mission is to enhance the independence and quality of life for the aging population and individuals with mobility challenges by providing safe, accessible, and comfortable home environments.
Our goal is creating customized solutions that ensure safety, accessibility and independence for our clients.
Starting Age-Proof Homes was a deeply personal decision for me. In 2010, my dad was involved in a car accident that left him with a major back injury and chronic nerve pain. Seeing him struggle with mobility and knowing how important it is to live comfortably and safely at home inspired me to help others facing similar challenges.
At Age-Proof Homes, we are dedicated to making homes more accessible, ensuring that everyone can move about their spaces with ease and confidence. My dad’s journey is the heart of our mission, and it drives our commitment to enhancing the lives of those with mobility issues.
We have 35 years of experience in residential construction with several years overseeing quality assurance.

Our Services
At Age-Proof Homes, we specialize in services designed to enhance home accessibility and safety, including the installation of grab bars and handrails, ramps, door and hallway widening, Stiltz Home Lift elevators, and accessible showers and bathrooms. Our expert team is dedicated to creating customized solutions that ensure ease of movement and independence for our clients.
Accessible Showers & Bathrooms
Standard or conventional bathrooms often pose risks to our clients due to factors such as slippery surfaces, high thresholds, narrow spaces, and the lack of support fixtures, all of which increase the likelihood of falls and injuries. Common modifications that we use to alleviate these risks include:
- Installing grab bars and handrails for stability
- Installing roll-in “barrier-free” showers or walk-in tubs to eliminate high thresholds and incorporating adjustable shower heads
- Widening doorways for wheelchair access
- Adding non-slip flooring both in and around the shower
- Converting vanities to accessible (roll-under) sinks to enhance safety and convenience
- Replacing standard toilets with ADA-height or “comfort-height” toilets
- Enhancing lighting by adding additional LED can lights
These changes create a safer, more comfortable environment that accommodates the needs of those with mobility challenges and leads to more freedom and autonomy in the bathroom.
Multi-Level Accessibility
Stiltz Elevators
Stiltz HomeLifts residential elevators are designed to help you stay in the home you love when the stairs become too much. Attractive and effective, these home elevators are an affordable alternative to a stair lift.
Stair Lifts
Installing a stair lift can be a cost-effective way to gain access to the second level of your home. It’s like having a reliable helper that makes moving between floors effortless and worry-free. They are very easy to use and can fit almost any type of stair configuration. With features like swivel seats and remote controls, stair lifts are great at making life at home more comfortable and accessible.
Wheelchair or Vertical Platform Lifts (VPL’s)
Wheelchair lifts are designed to accommodate wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility devices, ensuring full independence for users. They can be installed indoors (generally in a garage) or outdoors, offering flexibility in enhancing accessibility throughout your property. Additionally, these lifts are built with safety features like non-slip surfaces, safety gates, and backup power systems, providing peace of mind.
Ramps
At Age-Proof Homes, we specialize in creating custom ramps tailored to meet your specific needs and the unique layout of your property. Our team will work closely with you to design a ramp that ensures safe and easy access to your home. We follow ADA guidelines to guarantee the correct slope, making the ramp gentle and manageable. If needed, we incorporate landings to provide resting points and accommodate turns. Whether you need a ramp for a small threshold or to get up to a high patio or entryway, we’ll provide a solution that enhances accessibility and blends seamlessly with your home’s aesthetics.
